Man is least
himself when he talks in his own person.
Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth.

Friday? Again?
If I were younger, each Friday would seem immeasurable from the
last. Age will
never understand time. So, then I know some of you will be home
all week next week for your
Thanksgiving break. Why is it a whole week now? Back in the day,
it was Wed. - Fri. and then, of
course the normal weekend. So, 5 days! That's all, no more, and
now it's 7 days? Why? Oh, why?
Like the Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop?, the world may never
know™ (or however you use those damn
symbols!)
? Before 1941, fingerprints were not accepted as evidence in court. ?
Back to the
Songs! I find it interesting that these songs are not what I
originally thought they were
about. So, I will dig up the facts and what else is out there!
- silverchair,
"Ana's Song" - Lead singer Daniel Johns wrote this about
his fight with the eating
disorder Anorexia. It references Lady Diana Spencer, as she also suffered from an eating
disorder. Daniel Johns is now suffering from "reactive arthritis," so who knows what he'll write
next? An interesting fact about silverchair: In their native land, they were nicknamed "Nirvana
in Pajamas" because they were so young! - Outkast, "Ms.
Jackson" - The lyrics are a message to the mother of
singer Erykah Badu. Andre
3000 (Andre Benjamin), one of the rappers in the group, had a child with Badu out of wedlock.
He wanted Badu's mother to hear his side of the story, as he felt he was being portrayed as a
bad father. He felt Badu kept him away from their child on purpose. The child Andre had with
Badu is a boy named Seven Sirius Benjamin. "Ms. Jackson" is a name they made up. Badu's
mother is really named Kolleen Wright. She knew it was about her the first time she heard it. - The Used, "Blue and
Yellow" - "It's a song about me and [frontman]
Bert McCracken's friend-
ship," guitarist Quinn Allman explained. "When the band started to really pick up and people
started to really get interested, we were almost not being friends anymore because we were
focusing so much time on the band and not on each other." The colors in the title could have
some meaning. The color blue belongs to the Planet Venus, the giver of Love, devotion and
harmony. The musical note of blue is G, a favorite key for the composer of romantic music.
The color yellow belongs to the planet Mercury, and is said to stimulate the nerves of the brain
and body. Mercury instills a quick intellect by stimulating the nervous system, so nothing can
remain stagnant under the influence of this planet.
So, that's really cool. I didn't
know that about those songs. It's weird! But I enjoy it. We learn
some-
thing new everyday!
No vocabulary for today. I just
don't feel like it, if that's cool with you! Maybe you can submit
a really
funky word along with it's definition! Yeah, you go ahead and do
that! Entertain me!
? Cattle are the only mammals that are retro-mingent (they pee backwards). ?
Could you imagine peeing
backwards! Or even sideways!!!?? Oh man that would be so fucking
funny
to see! I dare you to try that! And then tell me how it worked
out for you! Backwards I mean!
? Bock's Car was the name
of the B-29 Bomber that dropped the Atom Bomb on Nagasaki. (Like
Box Car Racer!) ?
